Kayaking On The Noosa Everglades

A group of our Flite Crew recently enjoyed a great day kayaking through the beautiful Noosa Everglades. The group started the trip at Elanda Point and made the 25km round trip to Harry's Hut and back.

We were lucky with gorgeous weather considering the days leading up to and following were bleak and windy even though the final part of the trip across Lake Cootharaba was a bit challenging as the winds picked up. The scenery was amazing with trees hanging over the Noosa River, wild Lilly pads flowering on the water and an abundant array of wildlife including fighting goannas, snakes, majestic pelicans and water birds.

While the thought of 25km may be daunting to some it was an enjoyable paddle and at times relaxing and calming. We look forward to doing the trip with members again in the future.
